Duisburg is reached easily by train, car, plane and inland waterways, though the latter might be not the most common way of transportation. The Tectrum is very close to the main station (15 minutes), which connects Duisburg with airports such as Düsseldorf (15 minutes to Duisburg) and Frankfurt (1:30 hours). When travelling by car, you can enjoy the large amount of motorways of the Ruhrdistrict: use either the A3, A40, A42, A57 or A59 to come to Duisburg. The Tectrum is fairly close to them and if you need to park your car, the Tectrum offers parking spaces for their visitors.
The training starts every day at 09:00 at DST. If not mentioned otherwise, the room is called “Konferenzraum”, just ask the clerk for it.
The DST is a towing tank facility right in the heart of Duisburg, surrounded by different institutes of the University Duisburg-Essen. You can see it indicated by the sourceflux-logo indicator on the above map. It is a large glass building complex, which cannot be missed.
There are various hotels surrounding DST, none of which are more than a 15 minute walk away. Unfortunately no on-campus accommodation is available at this point in time.
